I’m Gerardo Zárate, an artist, illustrator, and designer devoted to creating visual experiences that combine beauty, storytelling, and emotional connection. With over 30 years of experience in graphic design, editorial design, web design, digital illustration, and art direction, I have developed a creative practice rooted in both technical expertise and artistic expression.
My work is guided by a deep love for imagery that tells stories — artwork that captures atmosphere, feeling, and identity in ways that resonate with people. Inspired by nature, culture, symbolism, and the timeless magic of illustration, I shape each piece with care, imagination, and a strong sense of visual harmony.
Over the past nearly 30 years, I have exhibited my work in places such as New York, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and San Diego, allowing me to connect with a wide range of audiences while continuing to evolve as an artist.
I am currently working on illustrating my first children’s book, a project that brings together my love of character, emotion, and storytelling in a meaningful way. Through both my personal and professional work, I strive to create images that are not only visually compelling, but also warm, memorable, and full of heart.
